Kathy Robnett, 74 of Star Idaho, released her earthly bonds to join her parents and brothers in the hereafter on Saturday, October 1″, 2022.
She passed surrounded and held by her partner and husband of over 40 years, Lanny, and her children Tracy Bolduc and Jeff Lantz.
Kathy is also survived by three grandchildren. Grandsons Jason Artz and Zach Gonzalez, and her granddaughter Victoria Brenner. Kathy adored her grand babies.
Kathy is also survived by her beloved daughter-in law Erin Lantz, her sister Jody Hoffman, and her daughters- Nichole and Stacy Kathleen Lewis. Kathy’s other beloved relatives include sister-in-law Valerie Schmidt Pomerantz and her daughters, Malaika and Jessica Hoffman, and sister-in-law Diane Hoffman. Kathy loved all her family very much. If you mentioned any one of her nieces, she would always instantly smile.
Born Kathleen Hoffman on March 26, 1948, in Downey California to Richard “Curly” and Rose Hoffman, she grew up loving the beaches, sun and music of 1950’s and 60’s in Southern California along with brothers Steve and Rick, and sister Jody. She graduated from Santa Fe Springs High School in 1966 and married later that year, with son Jeff born in 1967. We welcomed Tracy in 1971in Antioch, California. Her little Susie Sunshine, I still remember her kicking bathtub toys off mom’s tummy before she was born and mom laughing.
After the end of her first marriage, in 1980 Kathy Hoffman met the love of her life, Lanny Robnett then of Suisun, California while both working for the family business, CR&S Truck Lines. After friendship turned to love, mom and Lanny were inseparable. Lanny and Kathy were married on September 15th, 1988. Vacations to them meant long road trips together to sometimes only they knew where. Often the only thing we knew for sure is that it was somewhere this side of the Mississippi. After every trip there would be some story of fun and adventure. Washboard roads rattling a car apart going to Bode ghost town or trying to go down a snow closed road on another trip. In between, you could always count on them attending the best concerts that they could, often road tripping to a concert for a favorite band mom LOVED Steely Dan among other groups
Most of all, I think mom most enjoyed just visiting the ocean with Lanny by her side. We All Love You Kathy, Mom, Geema
A viewing for Kathy will be held, 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at Bowman Funeral Parlor, 10254 W. Carlton Bay Dr., Garden City.
A graveside service will be held 10:00 am, Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at Star Cemetery, 9350 W. Floating Feather Rd., Star.
