June Margaret Reeb, 84, of Meridian, Idaho passed away July 12, 2025.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Lake Hazel Bible Church located at 11710 W Lake Hazel Rd, Boise, ID, 83709 on Saturday, August 9th, 2025, at 1:30 pm. A dessert social will follow the service.

June Margaret Reeb was born in Burley, Idaho, November 20, 1940. She was raised in Hagerman, Idaho. June competed in swimming at Boise Highschool where she graduated in 1959.

While working at Murray’s, she waited on a man. She exclaimed to her co-worker that she was going to marry him. He was Reed LeRoy Black, a clerk in the Idaho Air Guard. Married on January 31, 1959, they were together 64 years when Reed passed on November 7, 2023. Together they had four live children with one in Heaven that she lost to a miscarriage.

First, they owned a house on Lemhi in Boise. Then they built the house in Meridian where they raised their children and resided there for 60 years.

As a devoted mother, wife, and hardworking gardener, she supplied her family (with Reed's help) with walnuts, berries, fresh veggies and fruit from her trees, canning the excess. She was an excellent cook who provided great meals and fresh baked bread for her family. She loved decorating for the holidays, making them very special for her family. She was super human!

June played softball in a league, bowled in a league, played in a pinochle club, and water skied over the years. June and Reed were very active in the PTA at Southside Elementary. She served on the Meridian Library Board.

Attending Cole Community Church in the 70's, June taught a good news club evangelizing the neighborhood children. She completed Bible Study Fellowship. June was baptized with Reed in the early 2000's by Arnold Ruby, previous pastor of Lake Hazel Bible Church. She always bragged about her wonderful church family and Pastor Sam.

June drove a public school bus from 1972 -1992 for Meridian School district for all ages including special needs children. She knew all the children on her bus by name.

June was generous. Her love language was service. She made quilts for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as for the homeless and women’s shelters in the last years of her life.

June loved to socialize and dance. She especially loved seeing her friends and four sisters: Betty, Louise, Marie and her twin sister, Jane. She laughed more with Jane than anyone. Being extremely bonded with Jane, she grieved losing her in 1998 until the day June passed. She looked forward to seeing her again.

June is survived by her four children, Melody Jorgensen, Brian (Bettie) Black, Harmony Black, Julie (Dennis) Cook and one sister, Marie Stewart, as well as 16 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, a great, great grandson, many nieces and nephews. She will be sorely missed.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bowman Funeral Parlor of Garden City.
