Erik John Webb

August 5, 1957 — July 10, 2025

Eagle

Erik John Webb, 67, of Eagle, Idaho, a devoted husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, July 10th, 2025, with his beloved wife and daughter by his side. Erik fought his battle with cancer with a positive attitude and bravery for the past 6 months.

Erik was born in Castro Valley, California on August 5, 1957, to parents John Repp Webb of New Jersey and Elisabeth Beck Lyngvang of Denmark. He grew up in a loving home in Fremont, California. Erik graduated from Washington High School in 1975 where he was an exceptional athlete, competing as a defensive man in water polo and running the mile in track. He went on to study at Chico State University, class of 1979, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Parks & Recreation Administration and a Business minor. He married Donna (Cameron) Albert in 1984, and they had a beautiful daughter, Jessica (Webb) Nuesse on August 1, 1989.

After graduating from college, he began his career in city recreation and soon transitioned to the textile rental business. He started as a driver, quickly worked his way up the ladder due to his outstanding work ethic and was soon promoted to General Manager at some of the largest textile laundry plants in Northern California. He spent many years working for companies like Red Star, Aratex, Aramark and Golden Star, becoming well-respected in his industry. He transitioned into a successful sales career, working as a Regional Sales Manager, traveling to 15 different states, and sharing his expertise. Erik ultimately retired after nearly 16 years with ProLink, where he became an expert in janitorial supply distribution. Erik won several Regional Sales Manager of the Year Awards over the years, and was recognized by numerous suppliers for his knowledge, skills, and service. He was known by his clients and distributors as “The Bulldog”, as he would fight tirelessly for their needs and could get anything done! One of Erik’s colleagues shared, “Erik was one of the most genuine, loyal, and dedicated people I’ve ever worked with. He was full of heart. We didn’t just share a long professional history—we shared a bond that spanned decades. He touched so many lives, and he will be deeply missed”.

But Erik was not all serious business—he continually sought to make lasting friendships and joyfully participated in various hobbies and recreation. He spent many years taking his boat out with his family and friends on Folsom Lake and Lake Oroville and he especially loved boating while living on the delta in Discovery Bay, California. Erik enjoyed playing with his dog(s), gardening & landscaping, golfing, skiing, bicycling, watching football, traveling, and playing tennis with his best friend, Dean. He lived for several years in Granite Bay, California, before moving to Idaho in 2018. Erik felt fortunate to travel both for work and leisure, seeking out his many friends who lived in each area.

Erik was known for always lending a helping hand, whether it was tending to the landscape of his own yard, his neighbor’s, or volunteering to help beautify the landscape of his neighborhood. He was proficient in mechanics and carpentry, could fix anything, and always did it right! This talent was most apparent in Erik's love of cars, which began at an early age with his first car, a ’65 Mustang convertible. Throughout his life, Erik became a collector and restorer of numerous classic cars, particularly a ’68 Chevy truck, ’57 Ford Thunderbird, ’34 Ford Coupe, and ’67 Chevy Corvette. He was a member of Idaho Chariots Car Club and won numerous awards at car shows throughout the years. Erik always finished his projects and left all his affairs in order. He was beloved by his family and friends, had a contagious smile, was known to be the life of the party, laughing, making jokes, and always playing great music.

Erik met the love of his life, Michelle, in 2018. They quickly fell in love and were married 1 year later to the date, on November 9, 2019, in Eagle, Idaho. Erik and Michelle traveled together frequently, visiting over 30 states and at least 15 foreign countries in their short, 6 ½ years together. Erik was a kind and loving husband, and they were truly a match made in heaven. Erik’s favorite travel destination was Greece, and he loved Hawaii also, where he romantically proposed to Michelle on one knee with a beautiful ocean sunset in the background.

Erik recently became a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. His testimony and faith in Jesus Christ were touching. Through his faith, he approached his transition with courage and serenity. His most recent favorite quote, “Service to others is the rent you pay for your room in Heaven.” Erik exemplified this in his daily life. He touched many lives with his kindness, service, and unconditional love. Though Erik is gone from this earthly life, his spirit will live on in our hearts forever and we will meet again one with the Lord.

Erik is survived by his devoted wife, Michelle Turner Webb of Eagle, ID; his daughter, Jessica Webb Nuesse, son-in-law TJ, and his grandsons Rylan and Logan of Meridian, ID; his sister, Denise Gundersen, Magalia, California; nieces Elisabeth of Oakland, California, and Birgitte of Grass Valley, California; and nephew, Erik, of Magalia, California. Lastly, Erik is survived by his best friend of 58 years who was like a brother to him, Dean LeBreton, his wife Armida, and their children, Chas (wife, Lindsay) and Tess (husband, Josh).

Erik’s memorial service and celebration of life will be held on July 26, 2025, at 11am at the LDS Chapel at 8620 W Goddard Road, Boise, Idaho 83704.
