Sharryl Grace was born March 2, 1948, in Muskegon, Michigan, and went home to be with Jesus on July 2, 2025. Her mother was Florence Gladys, but her father’s name was unknown; however, she was later adopted by Charles Stuthard. She had a twin brother Darryl, whom she loved dearly, and stepbrother Randall. She is survived by her husband Warren (Ski), her children Randall and Sheri, and three grandchildren: Brandon, Mikayla and Dylan.
Sharryl had a difficult childhood and graduated from Orchard View High School in Muskegon in 1966. In February of 1967 she attended a homecoming for a U.S. Marine, Warren Milanowski, who was returning home after his deployment to Vietnam. Sharryl’s cousin Linda was writing to Warren while overseas and was invited, along with a Girl Scout troupe, by Warren’s mother and Linda brought Sharryl with her.
“Ski” was attracted to this quiet, pretty, shy girl and remembers how, at one point in the evening, she took a seat beside him on a piano bench. He dated Sharryl after the event, returned home on leave in the summer, dating her more, then returned home at Christmas again, bringing an engagement ring. Sharryl and Warren were married on April 27, 1968, and were married fifty-seven years at her passing.
The newlyweds returned to Vista, California where they lived while Warren completed his enlistment with the Marines at Camp Pendleton. They moved to Las Vegas where Ski had a job waiting for him with Western Airlines. Their two children, Randall and Sheri, were born in 1970 and 1971. It was after the birth of their daughter Sheri that Sharryl preferred to be called Sharry, rather than Sharryl. Sharry started having health problems at this time in her life, which continued for her lifetime. She endured multiple surgeries, causing her to often miss important events in the lives of her children.
In 1975, Sharry and Ski moved to Eagan, Minnesota, not wanting to raise their children in Las Vegas. It was in Minnesota where both Ski and Sharry came to enjoy a personal relationship with their Savior, Jesus. They remained in Minnesota until 1983, when an opportunity arose to move to Boise, Idaho where they remained until this day.
Sharry worked a number of clerical jobs during her life, but the jobs would usually end due to complications in her health. The joy of her life was raising her children, doting over her grandchildren, and being a a meticulous housekeeper. She loved her children and grandchildren deeply, a devoted wife, mom and grandma. She also was a lover of people and was a friend to many. Her passion was making greeting cards and scrapbooking and spent hours hand crafting cards and blessing her friends with the work of her hands until arthritis in her hands forced her to abandon her favorite hobby.
Sharry enjoyed traveling with Ski, her favorite destination was Hawaii where they were able to travel on three occasions. She also loved to dine out and play cards, especially pinochles. I (Ski) would define her in this part of her life as a “fierce competitor”.
In October of 2024, she was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer which had already spread to her lymph nodes and lung. She endured the rigors of chemotherapy with little positive results, and much distress; and transitioned to hospice care. Sharry was blessed with many-many friends who had an opportunity to express their love for her at a pre-funeral memorial called an “un-birthday” celebration just three weeks before her passing. Following the celebration, her condition deteriorated rapidly until she took her last breath and went home to her Lord and Savior on July 2, 2025.
A final celebration of Sharry’s life will occur on July 29th at 2;00PM at Summit Church in Boise. 10375 W Overland Rd, Boise, I’d 8370
