Vinnie Dora Clark July 7, 1938 - January 24, 2019

Vinnie McCamish met the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Clark, at a church dance while he was at port in Melrose Massachusetts. They married and spent the next 59 years together on adventures that took them as far east as Maine, as far west as California and to Hawaii.

Vinnie was an extremely proud and supportive sailor’s wife. The Clarks made many precious memories traveling and raising their seven children. After all of her baby cardinals left the nest, Vinnie and Bob’s adventures took them to the Golden State where they spent many years. They returned to Idaho to enjoy their golden years and family.

Vinnie was an avid shopper, collector, and treasure hunter. She gleefully explained Nampa was the perfect place for them. There was plenty of fishing, hunting, boating, and camping for Bob and tons of shopping for her. Vinnie delighted in finding special gifts to spoil her family. She especially loved antique shopping with her daughters and acquiring beautiful collectibles.

Vinnie was a loving, compassionate mother who always had time to listen and offer guidance to her children and grandchildren. She found great joy and gratification in celebrating their achievements through the years. She was quite a philanthropist, always willing to help family, friends, and strangers in need. She generously gave to several non-profit organizations spreading her kind heartedness beyond her own limits.

Vinnie will be deeply missed by her family and all those whose lives she touched.

Vinnie is survived by her seven children: Teresa Clark, Laura Johnson, Jennie Brocker, Robert Clark Jr., Karen Van Wagner, Lewis Clark, and Mark Clark. She is also survived by her sister Edna, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Vinnie is “Gone With The Wind” to be with her “Anchors Away”, Sailor.

A memorial graveside service for Vinnie and Robert will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, February 8, 2019 at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery in Boise.
