Susan Ward February 22, 1963 - October 21, 2021

Susan Ward, born on February 22, 1963 in Hollywood, California,  returned home to her Heavenly Father on October 21, 2021. She passed peacefully surrounded by her family at St. Luke’s hospital in Meridian, Idaho after fighting Covid for 25 days.

Susan JoAnn Ward was adopted at the age of three weeks by Thelma and Duane McQueen. Susan dedicated her life to helping others and living as a Christlike example. She worked for many years in the medical field as a front office receptionist, where she loved to care for her patients and make them feel comfortable. More recently, she spent her time working for the Nampa School District Family Community Resource Centers. There she served students and community members by helping them with whatever needs they had. In her off time, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and her beloved fur babies! In the last year, she developed an obsession with watching reruns of M.A.S.H. – she was in her third round of the entire series.

Susan was pre-deceased by her Father, Duane McQueen, her Mother, Thelma McQueen and her brother, Dean McQueen. She is survived by her husband, Ken Ward and their three daughters, Jessica, Ariel and Courtney. As well as her siblings, Alice Widdison, Alan McQueen, Dale McQueen, their spouses and her grandchildren, nieces, nephews and let’s not forget all of her friends and coworkers.

Susan’s favorite color was green, so we encourage anyone who would like to wear green to the funeral services to please do so.

There was a time when we were younger and much less busy where Susan and I were inseparable. I miss those days. Sadly I haven’t seen her in several years. 😢 but thought about her all the time. Susan was one of the best friends I’ve ever had and she will be so missed by me, and everyone her life touched. 💕 prayers and hugs to her family!!!

Awwww, so sorry to hear of Susan’s passing. We knew Susan when she was young and loved her then, as now. She was such a sweet person, my daughters’ favorite babysitter!! God bless her husband, family and loved ones. They’ll be together again, one day!! Love to the family..

I just met Susan. I began volunteering at the FCRC where she worked and we spent only a few days together. I immediately loved her. She was my kind of person…loved kids, loved her family, loved to talk, loved to hug. She was real. She was my new friend. My heart hurts. Blessings and comfort to her family. She loved you.
