It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Sheila M. (Stahl) Fischer, 81, of Star Idaho. She passed Saturday, April 9th, 2022 at Saint Luke’s Hospital in Boise Idaho surrounded by her son Tom, Tom’s wife Brenda, Sheila’s sister Sundy and Sheila’s niece Vonda. She was born April 20th, 1940 to Ted and Elna Stahl in Miller South Dakota and graduated from Missoula County high school in Missoula, Montana.
As a Navy wife, Sheila traveled the globe where she served as an active volunteer and member of her community anywhere she called home. In 2005 Shelia moved to Idaho with her husband George to be closer to their family where she enjoyed attending craft shows, quilting, sewing, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her son Tom Fischer and his wife Brenda, step daughter Pat Hensley, her best friend of 48 years Carol Sutherland, sisters Bonnie Verworn, June Lopez, Teddy Hoffman, Sundy Martin; brother Butch Stahl; Grandchildren Dustin Fischer, Heather Hubbard, Christopher Duncan, Ryan Duncan, Tiffany Boyd Johnson, Keith Boyd; and several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family; Preceded in death by parents Ted and Elna Stahl, her husband George Fischer, and sister Peggy Hertz.
Sheila will be laid to rest next to her late husband George Fischer in a private ceremony at the Veteran’s Cemetery in Boise, Idaho. There will be a celebration of life held at Tom and Brenda’s home on Saturday April 23rd at 2pm.
