Sandra Jean Clausen
Sandra Jean Clausen, 81, of Caldwell, Idaho passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her loved ones on Friday, May 6, 2022.
Sandra was born to parents Henry and Evelyn Newhouse in St. Louis, Missouri on May 8, 1940.
Grandma Sandy, as she was lovingly called by everyone who knew her was preceded in death by her parents; brother Charles; daughter Susan Clausen and her amazing husband Alvin Clausen.
She is survived by her 3 children, Mark, Cheryl and James; sister Kathy; 14 grandkids; 41 great-grandkids and 6 great-great-grandkids.
Sandy’s early life began in Missouri, where she met the love of her life, Alvin while he was stationed there with the Army. They were married May 5, 1961. They had 4 children together and moved to Idaho to be closer to his family. Their amazing love and devotion to each other could be felt across the many generations of their family.
thru ought her life, Sandy worked hard in many professions. Even after she was told she could no longer work, she still wanted to try.
As a person, Sandy was the epitome of love, acceptance and forgiveness. No matter the person or circumstances, all she ever wanted was for you to believe in yourself like she did. Dust yourself off, try again and never give up. Sandy’s strength and stubbornness to keep up the good fight and to walk by faith was unmatched. Her example of unconditional love was not humanly attainable.
The absence of her spirit, and the amazing Angel she was will be felt by the many, many lives she touched, and she will be incredibly missed.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at Bowman Funeral Parlor, 10254 W. Carlton Bay Dr. in Garden City, with visitation beginning at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Caldwell.
