Roy Allen Carr, 59, passed away in the early morning of July 24, 2019 at home with his wife Sandy and daughters Ashley and Cassie along with his sister in law Judy Allen who stayed by his side day and night to take care of Roy. She was heaven sent.
Roy was born in Boise, Idaho on October 28, 1959 to Lester and Mary Carr who proceeded him in death. Roy grew up and went to schools in the Meridian School District. Roy lived in Meridian and Boise and was a proud native Idahoan. Roy was close to his brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews. Roy was the 10th child out of 11. The first time Roy met Sandy was in 1980 at a mutual friend’s house, she was sitting on the floor with his two sisters, Beverly and Rita teaching them a game. Sandy found out later that Roy thought she was way out there. They became best friends and did everything together. They were married September 28, 1985. They shared 33 years of marriage and were true soul mates and best friends.
Roy fought a long and hard battle with cancer until the lord released him of pain and suffering. Roy loved spending time with his family whether it was playing water balloons in his back yard, camping in the mountains of Idaho or traveling to the Oregon coast. Roy loved riding his bike and loved family time. Roy also enjoyed working in the garden with wife Sandy. Roy’s favorite meal was fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, and a German Chocolate cake from scratch.
Roy was proceeded in death by his first born son, David Allen, both parents Lester and Mary Carr , Eldest sister Georgia Smith, and two eldest brothers Ronnie and Gerald Carr. His two Boxers Max and Tucker Carr. Roy leaves behind his wife of 33 years Sandy Carr, daughters Ashley and Cassie Carr, His brothers James Carr of Missouri, Larry Carr and wife Ula of Boise, Lonnie Carr of Middleton Id, David Carr and Linda Garoute of Boise, Sisters Beverly Peterson, Rita Carr and Cathy Carr all of Boise as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at the Friends Church 1021 W. Pine Avenue, Meridian, Idaho, 83642 on August 3rd at 3:00pm. A meal will follow the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Bowman Funeral Parlor.
