Ronald Mark “Ron” Cowles, compassionate & loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother passed away on January 14, 2021, at the age of 81.

Born in Grass Valley, California on March 14, 1939. The oldest of six brothers. Ron married his beloved Barb, May 1 st , 1965 in Vallejo, California. Eventually, they moved to Idaho to raise their two girls, Laurel and Janene. After years in the city, Ron and Barb completed their lifelong dream of retiring in the mountains of Placerville, Idaho.

Ron was a cowboy at heart. He loved old westerns and a nice pearl snap button shirt. He was a proficient outdoorsman who had a passion for quick draw, bow hunting, fly fishing, and exploring on his ATV. He spent endless hours in his shop and was always ready for a new project or adventure.

He was a proud Papa and shared a special bond with his grandchildren. He taught them the importance of hard work and living in the moment. Ron liked to act tough but he had more love in his heart than he knew what to do with. He had an altruistic outlook on life and would do anything for his family or friends. He will be dearly missed by many.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Laurel and Janene; his grandchildren, Oliver, Max, Miles, Spencer, Jamie and Eric; his great-grandchildren, Olivia, Drew, Alex, Esther, Benson, Ellie, and Jack; and his brothers, Luke, Dean, Jim, Zane and Scott.
