Robert Reith Adams was born in Portland, Oregon on December 18,1938 to Dr. Frederick E. Adams and Caroline Elizabeth Reith Adams. At an early age, he showed great intellectual ability and wit. He graduated from Monterey Bay Academy in 1957 and Pacific Union College in 1961with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He furthered his education completing a master’s degree in Microbiology and attended the University of Missouri Kansas City where he completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He opened his dental practice on Rose Avenue in Selma, California on August 18, 1969, seeing twelve patients on his first day. He retired from dentistry in April 2007.
He met his beloved Marlene Beth Dollinger at Pacific Union College and the two were wed on June 11, 1961, at the Fairmont Church in Lodi, California by Pastor Jay J. Dollinger, the father of the bride. They just celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary. They had three children Kenton, Deanna, and Donald.
Bob as he was known to most, enjoyed working in the yard, raising fruit trees, golf, amateur radio (KB6PDD), and spending time with family and friends. His quick wit and easy personality allowed him to make many friends and impact numerous lives.
He is survived by his wife, Marlene (Dollinger) Adams; his three children; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren; brother, Rick Adams; and sister, Katy Hinton. Bob is preceded in death by his parents; Fred Adams and Caroline Eros; sister, Charlotte Eros; brother, Randy Adams; and his nephew, Vincent Amsden.
A private family will be held in Walla Walla, Washington.
