Richard “Dick” Gable, 88 years old, passed away peacefully on Saturday Oct 10, 2020. 12-31-1931 to 10-10-2020. PFC US Army, Korea (1/51 – 1/54).
Dick was an avid sports fan… Football (Raiders all the way, no matter where they went!), Baseball (winning Pony League World Series(1973) and Colt League World Series Championships (1975) as Coach), and always fishing. Given any opportunity to fish, he would drop everything to spend a few hours outdoors! He was loved and he will be missed by all.
Dick is survived by his wife of 56 years, Daisy, as well as 6 surviving children, Steven, Linda, Dianna, Lori, Dawn, and Douglas. He was preceded in death by 2 sons, Richard Jr., and Daniel and his Grandson, Jesse Jay. Dick has 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Services to be held at Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, 10100 Horseshoe Bend Rd., Boise, on Friday, Oct 23, 2020 at 11:00 am.
