Rebecca Ann Witt Crego
Born to this Life June 29, 1971
Entered Eternal Life on August 31, 2022
Rebecca (Becky) Ann Witt Crego of Boise, Idaho passed away, surrounded by loved ones, on August 31, 2022, at the age of fifty-one at St. Alphonsus from a recent cancer diagnosis. Becky was born in Boise, Idaho on June 29th, 1971. She was the eldest of three and the only daughter of Richard and Carol Witt.
She attended Boise schools and graduated from Borah High School in 1990. After graduation, Becky attended Boise State University and later entered the workforce where she spent her professional life supporting medical providers and patients as an administrative medical assistant.
Becky’s greatest pride was her family. She would beam when speaking of her son, Hayden and his girlfriend, Emma, and was always amazed by the creativity of her husband, Sam. Becky thought the world of her mother and father, and wished the world for her brothers and their families. Any day Becky could spend with family was a ‘good’ day.
Becky will be remembered for her uplifting spirit, kind heart, and keen ability to lighten any situation with one of her ‘blonde’ moments. She always dressed as if she walked off the pages of a magazine, whether she tried or not, Becky was always in-style. Even in her younger years, she would spend incredible amounts of time getting ready for the day; Becky’s mother was tasked with the impossible job of making sure there was enough hairspray in the house, Becky didn’t want a single hair to fall out of place.
Despite Becky’s fashionable style and natural beauty, she did not want to be in the spotlight. Becky was frequently concerned about others and would sacrifice her needs if it meant helping someone else. Becky was easy to love and will be missed by all who had the fortune of being a part of her life.
Becky was preceded in death by grandmothers, Millie Witt and Gudrun Stilwell, and uncle, Wayne Teachout.
Becky is survived by: husband, Sam Crego, of Boise; son, Hayden (Emma) Jayo, of Boise; parents, Rich and Carol Witt of Boise; brothers, Chris (Cristen) Witt and Jason (Jessie) Witt, both of Boise; aunt, Patricia Ahrens of Boise; uncle, Ronald (Loreen) Witt of Cranberry Township, Pennsylvia; aunt Laurie Miller of Boise; father and mother-in-law, Mary and Charlie Crego of Bellevue, Idaho; niece, Lillian and nephews, Wyatt, Wayne, Sam, and Alex; and her beloved pets, June and Mandy.
A celebration of Becky’s beautiful life will be held on Sunday, September 18th at 2:30 p.m. at Edwards Greenhouse, 4106 W. Sand Creek St., Boise, Idaho 83703. Becky will be dearly missed and will always hold a special place in our hearts. Her fun-loving personality was one of a kind. We love you Becky.
