Priscilla Ann Quinn (A.K.A. Pat#1, Patsy, Patricia, Mom-ma, and Grandma) passed away peacefully at home after a long battle with congestive heart failure.
Born the daughter of Raymond and Edith Olin in Minneapolis, Minnesota, November 12, 1938, she was the second oldest of seven siblings who included Carol, Diane, Robert, Leroy, Raymond and Danny. She was a wonderful mother to her son Doug Ward and daughter Lorri Ward, and doting grandmother to her three beautiful granddaughters Alexis, Bridget and Sophia.
She was married to Patrick Quinn, the love of her life, her friend and her dearest companion for nearly 40 years. Together they ventured from California to start a new life in McCall, Idaho, as small business owners. After their son graduated from high school, they spent a few years in Pennsylvania, but eventually moved back to Idaho to be close to family. Patrick spent 18 years at the Red Cross and Priscilla was an active and staunch advocate for adults with special needs who have a limited voice on the care they receive. She had spent nearly 55 years fighting for the rights of others. She was just shy of five feet tall but could go toe-to-toe with anyone!
She is also survived by her sister-in-law and closest friend, Bette Olin. Bette has always been there for her and was her champion as her health started to decline. Making sure she got the right level of care, looking at assisting living options, rehabilitation services, as well as helping comfort her in her final days at home. “Patsy” cherished her friendship with Bette.
Priscilla is also survived by many friends, cousins, nieces, nephews and a large extended family she loved and cared for. She will be dearly missed!
The family has no plan for a formal service, but any cards can be sent care of: Patrick Quinn, 8898 Desert Ave, Boise, ID 83709
