Norma Jean Fralick
Norma Jean Fralick was born on Jan. 22, 1925 in Kadoka, South Dakota and died on Sept. 9, 2021 in Boise, Idaho.
As a teenager, her family moved to Boise where she met her future husband, Don.
They were married in 1942.
Being a military wife of 20 years, Norma moved many times with the family, including two times to Germany.
After retiring from the military they eventually returned to Boise for a few years until they purchased their cabin in Featherville. Idaho. There they would live year round for 26 years.
When age made it difficult to keep up with the many physical tasks of living in the mountains, they moved to Shenandoah Estates in Boise.
Norma and Don were married for 73 years.
After Don’s death, Norma moved to Grace Assisted Living, where she resided for the last 4 years of her life.
Norma enjoyed beading and even ran a craft store with Don, in Featherville.
She also loved fishing. deer watching, bingo, and doing jigsaw puzzles.
Norma was loved by her 6 children, 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don, 2 sons, and 1 grandson.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am, on Friday, September 24, 2021 at Bowman Funeral Parlor, 10254 W. Carlton Bay Rd. in Garden City. A private inurnment will take place at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bowman Funeral Parlor of Garden City.
