Micheal James McConville, 49, passed away at his home in Boise ID on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, surrounded by his wife and son.
Micheal was born February 16, 1973, in Boise to Iona Ruth and Herschel James McConville. He grew up in Boise and went to school at St Mary’s and Bishop Kelly High School. He loved sports and played basketball, football, shot put and discus. He was a member of the Kiwanis Choir, a National Merit Scholar and a proud member of the Nez Perce Tribe. He attended the University of Idaho. He worked as an SAP engineer and traveled the country consulting and working for various companies. In 1996 Micheal married Tracy Hitchcok and in 2000 they had a son Ashlund James McConville. Micheal and Tracey would later divorce. He re-married in 2006 to Christine Duft. Micheal and Christine divorced in 2015. In June 2018 Micheal married the love of his life Erika Leon and through marriage gained a daughter Mariajose Paz. He absolutely loved being a father. He cherished it more than anything on this earth.
Micheal was preceded in death by his grandparents Adolf and Winnie Heiland, Evelyn and Chuck Ditlow, Emma Kash Kash and Arthur McConville, his parents Herschel James McConville and Iona Ruth McConville, and his little brother Raymond Arthur McConville. He is survived by his wife Erika Leon McConville, his son Ashlund James McConville, his daughter Mariajose Paz, his niece Kylie James McConville, his brother Jon McConville and numerous friends and family who loved him very much.
Micheal was laid to rest at the Lapwai Cemetery next to his family in Lapwai Idaho on Wednesday November 9, 2022. A celebration of life service will be held at Bowman Funeral Home in Garden City Friday, November 18, 2022, at 2pm.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Micheal James McConville. He was our beloved Father, husband, and brother. He will be laid to rest next to his family at sunrise in Lapwai Cemetery, Lapwai ID on Wednesday November 9th. A service celebrating his life will be held at 2 pm Friday, Nov 18th at Bowmen Funeral Parlor in Garden City ID 10254 W Carlton Bay Drive.
