Marilyn K. Transtrum
Our beautiful mother Marilyn K Transtrum was born to Earl and Vaunda Kynaston August 14th, 1949 in Ogden Utah.
She had wonderful brothers and sisters, Karma, Karen, Lanelle, Joe Doaral and Clora V. Survived by her brothers Joe and Doral and her sisters Lanelle and Clora V.
Preceded in death by her sisters, Karma Waltman and Karen Baker.
She married Roger Transtrum, who was the love of her life, in the Idaho Falls Temple on January 29, 1969. Marilyn and Roger began their posterity of 7 children. LeeAnn T Leavitt Hafer (Shawn) Jason Transtrum (Alisha) Angela T Smith (Erich) Douglas Transtrum (Fiancé Sandee) Valerie T Klein (Scot) Lindsey T Allen (Charles)and Eric Transtrum (Jennifer). They had 22 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. All of which loved Grandma Marilyn so much.
She was taken home yesterday after battling like a super hero; the disease ALS. She was diagnosed almost 3 years ago. This woman was amazing! She was so loving. She always made us feel special. She would light up when she saw us and truly lit up the room all by herself. She was a woman without guile. She loved to shop and do all the girly things like getting her hair done but she also could be found working in the yard or in the garage with our dad late into the day with a huge smile on her face.
She was a woman who loved hard work. People always wondered why she would hop up to get anyone anything even when you knew she was tired, but it was because she was so full of love and service, she couldn’t help herself. She was unbelievable.
We were nervous to write something about her because words cannot describe what she means to us but we also felt if we could share even a bit about her with you, you would be a better person for hearing it. Everyone who met her or was blessed to know her loved her.
Mom, We love you so much and will not forget you. Until we meet again our dearest mother. We loved spending time with you! Loved it. You were a special gift Heavenly Father sent to us and we are so thankful for that.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bowman Funeral Parlor of Garden City.
