Ms. Margaret Ann Alley passed in her home in Boise, Idaho, from natural causes on September 14th, 2021. Margaret was a very special person who was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Margaret will be in our hearts and memories forever and will rest in the loving arms of Jesus.
Margaret was born on July 14th, 1957, with her twin brother, Marty Dan, in Mobridge, South Dakota (SD). Margaret was one of the twelve children that Bob and Grace raised on their ranch northwest of Isabel, SD. She had a love of animals– particularly cats, art, music, bicycling, camping, dancing, gardening, hiking, and reading from a young age. Margaret attended Tip Top country grade school, then middle and high school in Isabel, SD where she graduated valedictorian of her senior class. Margaret received her undergraduate BS from the University of SD in Vermillion and her doctorate degree in Dental/Oral Surgery from the University of Minnesota, in Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota.
Margaret became a noncommissioned officer with the National Health Service Corps. She then provided dental care on Indian Reservations throughout the west in South Dakota, Arizona, Colorado, and Alaska. Throughout her life she constantly wanted to reinvent herself for the benefit of others. This prompted her to study various subject matters including Giraffe Language, Astro cartography, and Advanced Crystal Healing. Margaret was also a very accomplished Belly Dancer.
When Margaret retired from dentistry, she started her own yard and housework company, “Helping Hands.” She worked for numerous people around the Treasure Valley.
Margaret was predeceased by her twin Marty Dan; parents: Robert C. and Grace L. (Whitehead) Alley; siblings Cheryl, Tina, and Terry. She is survived by siblings Bob (Lou Lindskov), Isabel, SD; John (Niki) Alley, Forsythe, Illinois; Mary Harris, Glad Valley, SD; Patty (Bob) Rutherford, Minot, North Dakota; Cynthia Alley, Boise, Idaho; Mark Alley, Isabel, SD; Tim (Roxane) Alley, Parkston, SD; Uncle Joe (Linda) Whitehead and Aunt Mary Jo Pelletier, Elgin, Oregon; Aunt Marge Beer, Watertown, SD; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
