Madeleine Meigs Wynecoop-Blowers, age 74, died peacefully in her home, surrounded by family, on Friday, August 27, 2021, in Meridian, Idaho.
Madeleine is survived by her husband of 45 years, Daniel Lee Blowers, her four children: Sandra Kay Buce-Soares, Robert Roy Buce (Jennifer), Jennifer Lee Blowers-Gurulé (Jason), and Kathryn Elise Blowers, her five grandchildren: Crystal Soares, Hayden Gurulé, Emmalee Gurulé, Madelyn Gurulé, and Garrett Gurulé, and three great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents: Joseph Wynecoop and Clarice Meigs-Wynecoop.
Madeleine was born on November 25, 1946, in Almeda, California to parents Joseph and Clarice. She was a self-proclaimed “Military Brat” and grew up in both Colorado Springs and Germany. As a teenager, she was an active member of the Masonic youth group, International Order of the Rainbow for Girls and achieved the honored position of Worthy Advisor. Later, she earned an associate degree from Brevard College and a bachelor’s degree from the Glendale College of Law. In her 20s, she was employed at the Pentagon and JPL (in Pasadena, California). It was at JPL where she met Daniel, and in November of 1975, they were married.
Madeleine was passionate about her connection to her ancestorial roots and was a proud member of the Spokane Tribe of Indians. While she enjoyed many talents and hobbies, (such as cooking, embroidery, sewing, and piano), she expressed herself best through her poetry. Madeleine also loved animals and gardening. She saw the beauty in all living things.
A Celebration Of Life is scheduled for 10 AM MDT, September 13, 2021 at Bowman Funeral Home. Spiritual Caregiver Kathy Theiss will officiate. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Madeleine’s life.
