Devoted grandmother, mother, and daughter
Our dear mother, Lori Vera Wood, 62, of Boise, Idaho went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at the Saint Alphonsus Hospital in Boise, Idaho. She was surrounded by her two daughters and grandchildren. Lori was born on December 7, 1959, in Redding, California to Marjorie Conway Andresen.
Lori truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting and laughing with family, friends, and even strangers. She found pleasure in spending time outdoors, going fishing, camping, and barbecuing. She made it her family life’s priority to help raise her grandchildren and great-grandson who she all loved dearly. She had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. She displayed a wonderful knack for solving problems and a manner of reassuring you that everything will be okay.
Lori is survived by her three children; Anthony (Maryanne) Hoffer, Amber Hoffer, and Misty Hoffer-Lara, mother Marjorie Conway Andresen, brothers Frank Lamar, Lilburn (Nazzi) Lamar Jr, Isadore (Cheryl) Lamar, Harold (Leslie) Mawson, sister Tammi Mawson, and her six grandchildren LaSeanna, Mariana, Audriana, Lorena, Evelia, Elias, and great-grandson Cairo.
Lori will always be remembered for her compassionate and humorous demeanor. She will be deeply missed and we will always cherish her memories in our hearts.
A viewing will be held, 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Thursday, October 6, 2022 at Bowman Funeral Parlor, 10254 W Carlton Bay Dr, Boise, ID. Graveside services will be held, 10:00 am, Friday, October 7, 2022, at Dry Creek Cemetery, 9600 Hill Rd, Boise, ID. Friends and family are invited to attend.

October 5, 2022 at 6:25 pmA great loss is truly felt when it comes to Lori my Christian sister. I have known Lori for over half of my life. Even though we didn’t see each other all the time when we did it was like we had. We shared laughter and sometimes shared tears because we laughed so hard! She was like that always giggling about something, she was such a special soul, and I will miss her as much as you kids will…. but know this your mom was right when she said she was in Gods hands.
