Lawrence “Lornie” G. Ridenour, 96, of Boise, passed away April 9, 2023. Lornie was born January 26, 1927, in Boise, Idaho to father, Samuel H. Ridenour and mother, Mary B. Gillum.
Lornie spent his life in Boise, and Mountain Home, Idaho. During his career he was a driver for CCC, working for Morrison Knudsen, Clover Club Foods, Frito Lay Inc, and Fred Meyer Inc.
He had many hobbies including hunting, fishing, camping with his family, collecting music and dancing. Lornie loved to dance! Among his hobbies Lornie loved spending time with his family and friends; always enjoying the good life!
Lornie was a member of the Episcopal Church, the Masonic Lodge #30, York Rite, a lifetime member of the Elks, and a lifetime member of the Masonic Shriners.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria Ridenour; son, LD Ridenour, of Boise; daughter, Cyndi Adams, of Caldwell; son, Kevin Ridenour, of Meridian; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and a lifetime of friends.
Lornie is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel, and Mary Ridenour; four siblings; grandson, Richard Ridenour; and great-granddaughter, Lailah Titus.
A memorial service will be held, 11:00 am, Monday, May 1, 2023, at Bowman Funeral Parlor, 10254 W. Carlton Bay Dr., Garden City. A committal service will follow at 1:00 pm, at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, 10100 Horseshoe Bend Rd., Boise.
In lieu of flowers please consider donations in Lornie’s name to the Shriners Hospital for Children, Portland, Oregon, St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital, or a charity of your choice.
