Keith Roy Lucas, a beloved husband, father, friend, and avid follower of Christ, went home to be with Jesus on February 21, 2022, while residing in Boise, Idaho at the Idaho State Veteran’s Home. Though he left many family and friends behind, he actually beat us all to heaven, the place he set his eternal hope, resting in the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ. Keith lived his life serving the Kingdom of God as he ministered daily to his family, his colleagues and the hundreds of students he influenced for 40 years. His joy and laughter ring in the memories of the Westside, West Hills and Ontario Christian students and staff, and his love for the Lord resonates through his discipleship, teaching and over all compassion. Whether he was on the river fishing, watching a Packer’s game, creating movies and skits for Spring Banquet, playing with his grandchildren, or doing any number of the things he loved, he always brought a sense of joy and laughter to those around him.
There will be a service honoring Keith on April 22, 2022, in Boise at the Idaho State Veteran’s Cemetery followed by a Celebration of Life. Please reach out to Lisa Easley at lisa.easley13@gmail.com if you would like more information on the service and celebration.

March 3, 2022 at 12:06 pmKeith, you are missed for your loving approach and listening ear – you are kind and considerate in coaching educators in the calling of teaching and it’s craft. Through all that life has tossed your way, you are gracious and keeping in the love of Christ. To Mary and Lisa and family, I loved having your dad/husband as part of my teaching days – he was always approachable and supportive. I have so many good memories of him!

March 3, 2022 at 8:44 pmMr.. Lucas (as I will forever call you). The most joyous of times you must be having with our Lord. Your kindness, generosity and warm thoughtful words when I was a student there is something I will never forget. I know heaven is more joyful with you there. My best in Christ.
