Jude Anson, born Judy Kay Powell on June 2, 1943 in Carthage, Missouri to Lula May Hegle and Glenn Allen Powell, passed away June 28, 2019 in Boise, Idaho.
Jude was preceded in death by her mother and father, and her siblings, Gary, Betty, and Linda. She leaves behind her sisters, Nera and Sherry, her brother, Chuck, her son, Ron, and daughter, Brenda, her grandson, Keenan, and her granddaughters, Kayla, Rylee, and Kasey, and her great-grandchildren, Maisie and Kelton.
Jude graduated from St. Helen’s High School and went on to receive a minor in literature, a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in English.
Jude loved words. She loved to read and to write and had several pieces published throughout her life as a freelance writer. She also loved to help people, in anyway she could. Combining these loves, Jude became an editor and helped countless people through their dissertations and novel writing.
When Jude wasn’t at home, she could be found with her family or friends, frequently taking them with her on adventures into nature. She loved to drive to the Snake River Canyon to watch the birds of prey.
Jude loved to laugh and to sing. She loved to help and empower everyone around her. She loved her family and friends. She loved life. Most of all, she just loved.
