John J. Kenz
John Kenz was born on July 13, 1938 in Brooklyn New York. He was raised by his parents Florence and John Kenz than later on by Vincent Zelinsky. John has two younger siblings Vincent Jr. and Audrey.
As John grew older he graduated HS and went straight into the navy Seabees. And served in few different battalions NMBC 10,4,40 and Charlie Co., such as a steelworker, and an instructor. He also served in Vietnam War and toured places like Guam, Puerto Rico, and Japan. He proudly served over 27 years.
John then went on to be a car salesman and was an entrepreneur and decided to officially retire to Idaho in 1996 and lived here till he passed.
John enjoyed his life loved to scuba dive and does woodworking and was an avid collector of all.
He worked so hard his whole life just to provide for his family that he adored they were his everything.
John leaves behind his oldest Chris and his wife Allison, youngest daughter Cathleen and her husband William and daughter Annmarie, 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
John was truly loved by his family and all of us will always be so grateful for a great life he gave us all.
Daddy you will always be on our minds and hold a special place in our hearts you will never be forgotten and sorely missed. We love you may you Rest in Peace
A committal service with military honors will be held at 1:00 pm, on Friday, November 22, 2019 at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, 10100 N. Horseshoe Bend Rd. in Boise.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bowman Funeral Parlor of Garden City.
