Joan Ann Craig October 21, 1935 - February 22, 2021

Joan Ann Craig, 85, of Meridian, formerly of Twin Falls, passed away February 22, 2021. Joan was born on October 21, 1935 in Jersey City, New Jersey to parents John Craig and Laura Weidemann.

Joan grew up in New Jersey, eventually moving to Nevada, Oregon, and Idaho. She lived much of her life in Twin Falls, Idaho, where she worked for The Paris, Twin Falls Bank and Trust, Twin Falls Orthopedics and Dr. Bruce McComas. She also served on the Twin Falls Library Board for many years. After settling in Meridian, she worked for Primary Health and later for the Boise National Forest. Upon retirement Joan worked part time at the Meridian Senior Center.

Traveling was one of Joan’s true enjoyments. Joan was able to travel to Germany, England, Ireland, Scotland, and China. Joan also enjoyed gardening, sewing, antiquing, and going to thrift stores. She was always the “Finder of Great Things”.

Joan is survived by her daughters, Gwyn Lucas (George Kitzler) of New Jersey and Laura Goold (Stan) of Meridian and son, Christopher Gallian (Shawna) of Meridian; sister, grandchildren, Jessica Garnett, Ashleigh Wupper, Parker Krahn, Jackson Gallian and Sophie Gallian; great grandchildren, Hayden, and Hadley Wupper; sister, Lorraine Gola of New Jersey.

She is preceded in death her parents, John, and Laura Craig; daughter, Dawn R. Lucas; and brothers Martin Weidemann, John Craig, and Sylvester “Jerry” Giles.

    Joan’s daughter, Laura worked for me for over 25 years. I was fortunate to get to know her family especially her mom. She enjoyed life with travel and her family. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. I will toast a drink to Joan.
