Glenn Faris Smith
Glenn Faris Smith, 96, of Meridian, went to be with the Lord April 29, 2022. He was at home where he lived with his daughter, Jenny Smith.
Glenn joined the Navy on his 18th birthday. He served for 2 years and used his GI Bill to go to pharmacy school in Pocatello. In January of 1967, Glenn purchased the Meridian Drug Center in Meridian, Idaho from Swede Boice. Glenn, along with his childhood friend Ray O. Pack, went into business together and moved Meridian Drug Center to the Cherry Plaza Mall in 1974.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida; 2 sons, Mike and Dave; grandson, Christopher; granddaughter, Kassandra and sister Louise.
Glenn is survived by his children, Marc, Tim, Connie, Liz and Jenny. Glenn is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Glenn’s family will have a graveside service at 1:30 pm, on Friday, May 6, 2022 at Meridian Cemetery, 895 E. Franklin Rd. in Meridian. All are welcome.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bowman Funeral Parlor of Garden City.
