Gilbert S. (Gil) Tyner
October 14, 1930- November 22, 2021
Beloved husband, father, brother and friend. Born October 14, 1930 passed away November 22, 2021 with family at his side.
Gil was born in San Diego, CA. They later moved to Eagle, ID in 2004. Gil was an avid fly fisherman. He considered fly fishing the noblest sport of all. He also loved animals, especially dogs and birds. He was always saving some bird or dog he would find hurt or lost. He generously supported the local dog shelter with time and donations.
Gil was preceded in death by his parents Olive and Claud Tyner and his sibling Gloria Tyner. He is survived by his beloved wife Sharon. He has three sons from his first marriage: Mike, Dan and Steve with three grandchildren: Katy, Daniel and Nicole; and great grandson Barrett. Gil also has two step daughters from his second marriage, Jennifer and Kristina and three step grandsons, Jake, Alan and Ben.
Gil will be missed by all who knew him. At his request, in lieu of a memorial service, there will be a celebration of life at the family home on December 4th from 1-4pm for family and friends to raise a glass in his honor.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bowman Funeral Parlor of Garden City.
