Fern (Fernie) Ann Kammerer (Eisenbeisz) died peacefully in her sleep in Boise Idaho on Monday, 29th day of June, 2020, at 84 years of age after a long battle with Dementia.
Fern is survived by her two daughters, Teresa Polli and Tammy Riggs, her four grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, her brother Floyd Eisenbeisz, and her sister June Scott.
Fern is preceded in death by her husband, Robert L Kammerer, her son Kirk (Butch) Kammerer, her father Edward Eisenbeisz, her mother Anna Eisenbeisz (Schick), and her sister Darlene Eye.
Fern was born November 13th in 1935 in South Dakota. Her family moved to Elk Grove California where she graduated from Elk Grove High School in 1952. Fern married Robert (Big Bob) Kammerer in 1960 and they began their life together in the Sacramento area. Fern and Robert moved to Fremont California in 1978. After Robert’s death in 2016 Fern moved to Star Idaho to be close to her daughter Tammy.
Fern loved to dance and listen to vintage music. Fern also loved being in the outdoors. She loved to hike in the rolling hills and mountains (Mission Peak) and was a people person. Fern loved to talk and visit with people and did so wherever she found herself. Fern also had a love for antiques and glassware that she referred to as her, “treasures.” Fern worked as a child care operator for many years. Fern formed lifelong friendships with many of her daycare kids and parents. Fern was loved by her family and friends. She was truly a unique individual and lived life to the fullest. Fern was a believer in Christ and is now walking the streets of gold in Heaven.
Fern will be laid to rest at East Lawn Cemetery in Elk Grove California next to her husband Robert and her son Kirk with her immediate family in attendance
