Obituary

“Betsy” Elizabeth S. Nicholl, 86, passed away November 13, 2019 at her home, Edgewood at Eagle Island, in Eagle, ID. She was born January 3, 1933 in York, NY to Stuart and Margaret Emmert. She was married to Samuel C. Nicholl, Jr. for 53 years before he passed away in December 2007.

She is survived by her daughter Kim (Steve) Thomas, son Robert (Tami) Nicholl, brother Stu (Pat) Emmert, sister and brother in law Sue and Fred Berry plus 4 amazing granddaughters and 8 great grandchildren.

Betsy was a joyful, kind and thoughtful woman who loved the Lord, her family and life. She loved to travel and played golf for many years, even making a hole in one. She was passionate about her Weekly Bridge and Wednesday afternoon Happy Hour. The one thing she always said was “I have had such a blessed life.”
Kim and her family would like to thank the “angels” who cared for her at Edgewood, especially these last months, her Bridge buddies who loved her and kept her playing until the last two weeks of her life and Drs. Hospice who took care of her for the last year. You have all been amazing and are a special blessing.

A Celebration of her Life will be November 22, 2019, 10:30am, at Edgewood at Eagle Island. A special thank you to Dr. Charles Crane, Eagle Christian Church, for officiating.
