Dorothy Isabelle McDonough
June 6, 1933-August 15, 2021
Dorothy (Red by her childhood friends) was born in Baker City Ore. Her father, Garland Crane died in a hunting accident before her birth. Her mother, Isabelle, worked in the logging camps in northern California. Believing it was no place for a child, she sent Dorothy to live with her Great Grandparents, Arthur and Belle Crane back in Baker City. Isabelle remarried, Merald Murchison, in 1940 and they were rejoined. Dorothy has a brother Lyle (died 2010) and a sister Sharon. They grew-up in Chester Cal.
Dorothy married Lawrence Holscher in 1952 and had a son Paul in 1953. They divorced in 1956. Dorothy married Gene McDonough in 1957 and had a son Stephen in 1958 and a daughter, Tracy, in 1960. Gene was in Construction and frequently moved to where the work was. They settled in Boise in 1970 and had a great life. Gene passed in 2012.
Dorothy had a long career in banking rising to a Vice President at First Security Bank and retired in 1995. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, Isabelle & Garland Crane, Husband Gene, brother Lyle Murchison. Dorothy is survived by her sister Sharon (husband Jay) sons Paul (wife Robin), Steve (wife Susan) daughter Tracy (Husband Jim) and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren along with friends.
