Donna Jeanne Warren (Gould), 90, of Parma, Idaho, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born on July 12, 1933, in Custer, South Dakota, to the late Ray and Nina Gould.
Donna grew up in challenging circumstances, being the oldest of nine siblings and living in a sawmill. Despite the difficulties, she lovingly cared for her siblings and later moved to Nampa, Idaho, in the late 1940s to live with an aunt. Donna eventually returned to South Dakota before settling in Parma in 1962.
In 1951, Donna welcomed a baby girl into the world, becoming a devoted mother and working tirelessly to provide for her daughter. In 1957, she met the love of her life, Clint Warren, at Seven Seas while dancing the night away. They married on November 30, 1958, and embarked on a life of adventure together. Clint’s work on the pipeline took them to various states, where they formed lifelong friendships. In 1967, their family was complete with the arrival of their second daughter.
Donna’s dedication extended beyond her family. She was an active member of the Sterry Church Family, cherishing her involvement in God’s Gang and her role in discovering the camp for New Song Camp. Donna embraced her love for bowling, finding joy in and excelling at the sport. She also had a passion for attending auctions and hunting for antiques. Donna was involved in the Masonic Lodge in Parma, serving as a guardian for Job’s Daughters for many years.
After Clint’s retirement in 1998, they built a cabin on West Mountain, which became a cherished gathering place for their children and grandchildren. Donna was delighted to watch her grandsons play sports, enthusiastically cheering them on. Her grandsons brought her immense joy.
Donna leaves behind her beloved husband of 65 years, Clint Warren, her daughter Linda Brock, and Wendie Scroggins (Billy). She is also survived by her grandsons Mitch Snyder (Keri), Randy DeWitt (Kristy), Nathaniel Scroggins (Irene), Bryson Scroggins, and Chase Scroggins (Shelby). Additionally, Donna leaves behind six great-grandsons, three great-granddaughters, brothers Jerry Gould (Arlene) and Jim Gould (Sharron), sister Sharron Henderson, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Nina Gould; her brothers Kenneth Dean, Delbert, Pete, and Richard Gould; her sister Pam Maiden; twin infant granddaughters; and great-granddaughter Lexi DeWitt.
Following the service, a luncheon will be provided. Contributions in Donna’s memory may be made to the Sterry Memorial Youth Building program.
Donna Jeanne Warren will be remembered as a strong, caring, and devoted woman who touched the lives of many. Her love for her family, church, and community will forever be cherished. May she rest in eternal peace.
A memorial service to celebrate Donna’s life will be held at Sterry Memorial Presbyterian Church [28531 HWY 18 Parma, ID 83660] on Saturday, January 27, at 10:00 A.M.
