Devyn Nora Webb November 28, 1984 - May 5, 2020

Born to Russell Webb and Terri Locket in Alturas, California, Devyn loved the outdoors, especially camping, floating the Boise River, and trekking the greenbelt. She loved the finer things in life: The Beatles, Bush, Hozier, The Phantom of the Opera, and anything starring Russel Crowe, to name a few. Her SNL Gilly impersonation was unparalleled, to boot. Devyn was passionate about equality and political change and served as a democratic delegate in the 2008 primary elections.
She is survived by her children Amira, Aiden and Julian, father Russell, and mother Terri. Devyn’s love for her three children was a formidable force. She adored Julian’s laugh, Aiden’s quirky humor, and Amira’s fierce personality. Devyn talked endlessly and proudly of these three; they were her greatest accomplishments and she fought tirelessly to protect and provide for them when she could. She was also a part of Boise’s recovery community, making lifelong friends with many.
In a world full of conformity and rules, Devyn was a rebel. If you told her there was a line not to cross, she would be on the other side before you finished explaining. This is a part of what made her so wonderful. Her hilarious- and often unpredictable- antics added color to the mundane. Devyn had the unique ability to make ordinary life magical. Her brilliant satire and love for adventure left an impression on all she came across. The authentic Devyn was a loving mother, supportive friend, and comedic relief. She passed away on May 5th, 2020 at 35 years old. Wherever it is we go when we leave this world, I pray I get to see Devyn again for one last laugh.

Devyn, I love you more than anything in the world. I would do anything I could to make you see how valuable you are to those who love you. I am so crushed and heartbroken I can’t find the words to describe it. I love you forever.

I can honestly say that I will never ever forget you. You left your mark on this world and you did it with a style all your own. May you get all the freedom you wanted, and all the sunshine you can take. There will always be a hole in our lives where you fit.
