Desiree Ann Eddy, beloved wife, daughter, mother, sister, grandmother and friend unexpectedly passed away Tuesday, August 17th, 2021.

Desiree was born in Sidney, Montana on Father’s Day June 15th, 1958 to Desmond and Geraldine Dean. She was the second of five children. Desiree’s family moved from Sidney to Lewiston, Idaho in 1966. She attended Warner Elementary, Jennifer Jr. High and graduated from Lewiston High School in 1976 where she made many lifelong friendships. During her childhood Desiree spent many years as a campfire girl, playing the clarinet and flute. After high school she graduated from the NW College of Business, Portland Oregon in 1983 where she started her career as a travel professional. Desiree moved back to Lewiston, where she began her career in the travel industry. She spent many years working for A-1 travel agency and Hewlett-Packard. She retired in 2006.

In 1985 Desiree met the love of her life Danny Eddy on a business trip to Sun Valley, Idaho. In 1987 Danny and Desiree became engaged and were married for all eternity in Boise, Idaho on September 20, 1990. Desiree and Danny shared a passion for traveling and made several international trips. Including their honeymoon in Australia. They also shared a passion for music, they were rock concert goers attending over 100 shows together.

Desiree loved the outdoors, spending time camping, fishing, and hot springing with friends and family. She loved rock hunting and is known for her heart shape rock collection. Desiree loved all animals, much of her time was spent admiring horses, cats, and dogs. She was a proud parent of many fur babies during her lifetime. Desiree also admired deer that visited the yard of her home regularly.

Desiree and Danny have four beautiful and successful children–Danielle, Joyelle, Shane and Sarah. Desiree loved her children and five grandchildren, they brought love, purpose and joy to her life.

She is survived by her husband Danny; children Danielle, Joyelle, Shane (Denise), and Sarah; siblings John, Tim (Jeanne), Lisa (Logan), Dale (Debbie); mother Gerry; grandchildren Marisa (Andrew), Justin, Mack, Caleb (Haley), Carly Ann, Avery Jolie and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and her german shepherd Nala. Desiree is preceded in death by her father Desmond, father-in-law Charles, mother-in-law Helen, and her son-in-law Ben.

Desiree will be missed by her family, extended family and her close friends. She was loved by her church family, neighbors and pretty much anyone that knew her.

    I honestly have no idea what to write, I’m in such shock. I have not seen this picture of Desiree before. Absolutely gorgeous! She was beautiful inside, out. I loved your mom & our friendship. I’m so terribly sorry for your loss 💔

    Desiree, one of my favorite people on this earth. My heart hurts at her sudden loss. She always had a smile and a kind word and she will definitely be missed. A big hug to the entire family and my sincerest sympathies.

I have been lifelong friends with Danny and although I really didn’t know Desiree well I have known her through Danny and realize what a special lady she was.     It was a beautiful service Desiree and i were best of friends for all my life.she was always close to me we could tell each other anything.She will be greatly missed.It leaves a big hole in my heart. new her all my life. many memories were had growing up.MY heartfelt feelings go out to the family and friends in the Boise area.     well my friends called me Schoonie.I knew Desiree most of my life as we grew up in the same neighborhood. they called us the 7th street gang. just us kids hanging out on the corner getting into mischif. i use to run with her brother John.I will miss her deeply. my thoughts and prayers go out to all in the family she will be truely missed by all her friends in the Lewiston area. let God rest her sole as he will with all of us.those memorise that i have of her will carry on untill my own time comes. love to the family Steve Schoonover
