Our Beloved Mom, Deborah Kay Cullum, 65 went to be with our Heavenly Father on 5.23.21.
Deb was born on 12.13.55 in Bluffton, Ohio to Kenneth and Patricia Green. She was one of seven children, Beth (Daryl) Opperman, Steve (Twyla) Green, Kevin (Gina) Green, Denise Green, Jeff Green, and Heidi (Wayne) Warner. She had a special bond with her siblings. They loved each other deeply. They often enjoyed long extended phone calls despite their physical distance.
Deb married Fred Clark and together they shared 3 children. She later married Aaron Cullum and they shared 4 children.
First and foremost, Deb was a mom. She loved her children unconditionally, wholeheartedly and without question. She was always there for them at any time without judgement. She was a stay at home mom for many years. Family dinners were a big deal to her. She made a home cooked meal every night – a meat, a starch, and a veggie… and you better drink all of your milk. As much as she loved her children, she would light up even more from her grandchildren. She adored them.
Deb worked as a CNA for 25 years and would say, “I’m a CNA, I don’t stop when I’m tired, I stop when I’m done.” She loved her patients and knew each one of them by name as well as their stories. She cared deeply for them protecting their dignity during difficult times. She often spent her weekends taking them homemade cookies. Her coworkers describe her as an amazing and caring woman who always shared her heart and of course calling her a firecracker.
She was a humble woman who enjoyed the simplest things in life. In her free time, she enjoyed a cold Budweiser, playing darts and cribbage. If you could play cribbage and count cards, you had a special place in her heart.
Don’t be fooled by her small stature, shy demeanor, or soft spoken voice… she was the epitome of strength, sass, and sheer stubbornness all wrapped up in a tiny little can of “whoop ass”.
Deb is survived by her children, Angie Woodring, Heather Peterson, Denise Clark, Lori Beutler, Bryon Cullum and last but not least Little Aaron as well as her grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Patricia Green, sister Denise Green, son Kenney Cullum, and her brother Jeff Green.
A Memorial Service will be held at Bowman Funeral Parlor on Tuesday, June 1st at 4:00pm.

May 26, 2021 at 10:02 pmI remember Deb being one of the most comforting and fun parents out of all my friends parents. After meeting Aaron in middle school I was introduced to Deb not long after meeting. I remember staying the night many weekends and looking forward to breakfast and that warm friendly smile from Deb in the mornings. She had such a warm inviting personality that from the moment you stepped into her home it felt like home and she was so welcoming and easy to talk too no matter the conversation. I know she has left a positive mark on all who she ever welcomed in her life and wish I could have been there more to tell her how much of a positive impact she had on me throughout my young years, but I am so glad I was able to be included in her and Aaron’s life during the time I was. May Deb be in peace and still help her kids be in the best place in there lives that they can be.
