Danny James Philyaw, 57, of Meridian, passed away, October 27, 2022. Danny James Philyaw was born on August 30, 1965, in Boise, Idaho to James Wallace and Monna Lee (Hope) Philyaw.  After graduating from Capital High School, he attended Boise State University studying Business and the Culinary Arts.  Danny was a member of Calvary Chapel in Meridian and was instrumental in the startup and management of the church’s radio ministry, “Higher Rock” KIDH.  His desire was to spread the Gospel by teaching children and having home Bible studies.  Helping construct the new church facility and the radio station brought him joy and purpose.  In 2013, he married Angela (Moore) Stierman who came alongside him with his work in ministry.  Danny was the owner and manager of A-OK  Building Maintenance, Inc.  He passed away peacefully at home in Meridian with family and friends surrounding him.

Danny is survived by his wife, Angela, who loved and cherished him.  He also leaves behind his mother, Monna Philyaw, a sister Melanie (Paul) Pinney, sons Josh Philyaw and Justin Philyaw, grandson Andrew Philyaw, an aunt Lynn Gary Hope, and step children Belinda Stierman, Nolan Stierman, and Mitchel Stierman.  He is preceded in death by his father, James.

We would like to thank everyone who visited, helped, loved and cared for Danny during his final days.

Danny was a dear friend for an untold amount of years to myself and my wife in our youths. I remember my brother Keith who has passed and I would go from house to house all year long depending on who had what food and how we could get money for Pojo’s. All us Brent’s in the family will miss him sorely and remember him in our hearts.
