Dallas Leslie Baker, 75, a resident of Rancho Mirage, California, passed away April 11, 2021, in Rancho Mirage, after a short vicious battle with cancer.
Born in Fairbury, Nebraska, Dallas grew up in Long Beach, California. After serving in the Army and college, he developed a passion for working in construction, which led him to become a General Contractor. He loved living in the mountains, and his favorite hobbies were fishing, hunting, rock climbing and camping.
It was the construction site of a large condominium project in Woodland Hills, California after the Northridge earthquake where he met the love of his life, Donna. He found the courage to ask her out, which led to 24 wonderful years together. Dallas and Donna, or D&D as they were known to most, traveled around the world and had adventures big and small.
Dallas had a heart full of love and kindness; he was a quiet man, yet very strong – a man with relentless integrity and a great sense of humor.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 1:00 pm, on Friday, April 30, 2021 at Dry Creek Cemetery, 9600 Hill Rd. in Boise, Idaho.
