Cheryl Lynn Wilfong July 20, 1946 - October 29, 2021

Cheryl Lynn Wilfong

On Friday October 29th we lost our beloved wife, mother and friend, Cheryl Wilfong, 75 of Boise Idaho.

Cheryl is survived by her husband, Bob Wilfong of 52 years; daughter Heidi; son Brad (Catharine); brother Jim Adams (Susan).

She was one of 2 children born to Barney and Elizabeth Adams of Mansfield Ohio.  She graduated from Malabar High School and later graduated from Henry Ford Nursing School in Detroit Michigan.  There she met and married her husband Bob Wilfong.  In 1970 Cheryl and Bob moved out west and then settled in Boise in 1976.

Cheryl was a kind and giving soul, spending 31 years working at the Elk’s Rehabilitation Hospital caring for others and she was an integral part in developing the stroke rehabilitation program.  She enjoyed the game of golf and built life-long friendships at the Plantation Country Club (River Club). She loved spending time with friends and family in the Donnelly/McCall area. She was a strong, active, compassionate woman and will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

A special thanks to the staff at St. Luke’s Hospice for their compassionate care.  Her fellow St. Luke’s medical network looked after her through-out her final stages ensuring she was in the best care possible.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Tee Idaho in honor of Cheryl Wilfong https://firstteeidaho.org/donate/

A celebration of life will be held from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, on Sunday, November 14, 2021, at The River Club, 6515 W State St. in Boise.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bowman Funeral Parlor of Garden City.
