Carole Joy Chatterton December 23, 1937 - October 2, 2021

Carole Joy Williams Chatterton passed away on October 2, 2021, peacefully at home with her husband and family by her side.

Carole was born December 23, 1937 to Harold and Blanche Williams in Twin Falls, Idaho.

As a young girl she and her family lived on a farm in Castleford near Twin Falls. When Carole was in the 8th grade she moved to a large cattle ranch in Richfield, Idaho. She enjoyed helping her father on the ranch and learned to work hard at an early age.

She has three brothers, Don, Gene and Bill Williams and two sisters Irene Buckley and Linda Bandy. Her brothers and sisters really loved each other and shared many good times together.

After high school graduation she attended Rick’s College for two years and then graduated from Utah State University. She received her college degree in elementary education and taught school for 31 years with 28 of those years being in the Boise School District. She so enjoyed teaching and felt each child was special.

Carole met, fell in love and married Dale Chatterton March 25, 1961. They were blessed with three children Carma (Ray) Olson, Michael Chatterton and Kristi (Chris) Frith. Carole deeply loved her family and she wanted to guide them with a kind and steady hand. They were everything to her.

She leaves behind 10 wonderful grandchildren that she loved and enjoyed – Jordan, Parker, Sidney, Riley, Carlee, Zach, Cooper, Katie, Laney and Makenzie. She felt strongly about family and loved spending her later years watching her grandchildren participate in sports, dancing, singing and performances of their choosing.

Carole was preceded in death by her Parents, Harold and Blanche Williams.

Carol was my teacher partner my first year of teaching at Liberty Elementary School in 1984. I remember her being the kindest most gentle person I have ever met. I wouldn’t have survived my 1st year of teaching without her help and support. She was a model teacher, students LOVED her and I respected and admired her. Blessings

So Sorry to hear this. I had the honor of teaching with Carole at Liberty Elementary School in the late 80s. Those 6th graders were so fortunate to have such a wonderful role model and teacher! God Bless you, Carole Chatterton.
