Calvin Lee Hardin, 74 of Boise, ID passed away Monday, December 16, 2019, at his home in Boise after a long battle with cancer. He was born on June 28, 1945, in Council, ID to John Calvin Dee Hardin and Enid May Dragoo.
Calvin worked in property management and the construction industry throughout the years. For many years he was self-employed, being a heavy equipment operator for Cal Hardin Construction in Boise, ID. Cal always worked hard to provide for his family. Cal was a wonderful husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend. He was loved by all and would want us to celebrate, remembering the good times.
Cal is survived by his wife of 50 years, Virginia Diane Koelling, his brother’s John Hardin and Billy Hardin, his sister Violet Blake, his daughter Diane Hardin, his four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his father, mother, one brother-Baby Boy Hardin, and one sister-Audrey Hardin.
October 31, 1969, Cal married his soul mate Virginia Diane Koelling in Boise, ID spending their honeymoon in Sun Valley, ID. Cal loved to go on Sunday drives, looking at Indian hieroglyphs, studying history, writing poems and drawing. Cal enjoyed volunteering for the Red Cross and the VA hospital. He will be missed, holding a special place in our hearts.
Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. January 3, 2019 at Bowman Funeral Parlor located at 10254 W. Carlton Bay Drive Garden City, Idaho 83714
