Bonnie Joyce Wallace May 8, 1941 - February 17, 2023

Bonnie Joyce Wallace was born May 8th,1941 in Nampa, Idaho.

Bonnie moved home to be with her Heavenly Father February 17th, 2023 at the age of 81, surrounded by her family whom she loved dearly. Her passing on the 17th marks the 18th anniversary of her beloved mother’s passing.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her father, Wallace Hamilton Decker and her mother, Beulah Genavieve Curry Decker.  Bonnie is survived by her loving, faithful husband of nearly 31 years Bill Wallace; her daughters Jodi (Bill) Ystueta and Jill (Janeen) Robinson. As well as Bill’s children, Carol (Pat) Todd, Tammy Wallace, Richard (Tammy) Wallace, Cinnamon (Brian) Butterfield and brother Wallace (Jean) Decker. Her grandchildren Joseph, Hannah, Seth, Kapree, Jonathan, Emily, Joshua, Josh, Olivia, and Naomi and going on 13 great grandchildren.

Bonnie grew up in, and later graduated from, Caldwell High School Class of ’59. She married and had two children, her eldest daughter was born in ’66 and younger daughter was born in ’69. These two days marked the beginning of her lifelong devotion to her family.  When the girls were 2 and 5, she became a single mom.  From that time on, she was determined to give her girls the best that she could provide by working tirelessly, sometimes 2 to 3 jobs at a time. Most importantly during this time, she instilled in her girls a love for Jesus and the importance of relationship with Him.  Her dedication to them knew no bounds.

In the early ‘90’s, while working at Western Aircraft, Bonnie met her knight in shining armor, her beloved “Billy Bob”.  On April 3, 1992, they married and began building their life together and blending their families.  Bonnie will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

I love you so mommy and I am so blessed that you are my mom. I can only hope to be even half of the woman that you were. Thank you for your tireless dedication to me and Jodi and for being the most amazing mom any two girls could ever hope to have. Your love of the Lord knew no bounds and reflected in all that you did and how you loved your family. I have peace knowing I will see you again one day and we will spend eternity together in the arms of Jesus.

Although I had lost touch with Bonnie in recent years, she was one of my best friends all through high school. and I thought of her often. We had many fun times together in high school, and she was my bridesmaid when I married. I will miss her.
