Barry Wolverton of Meridian, Idaho, passed away at his home on Tuesday, March 14 th . . He was born on September 30 th , 1949, in Wendall, Idaho, to Ralph and Jennifer Wolverton. Barry lived and attended schools in Boise.
He joined the U.S. Marine Corps and was active from 1967 to 1970, and stationed in Vietnam. Upon his discharge, he worked as a heavy equipment operator for Western Construction and Superior
Construction working on numerous road projects in Idaho. He became a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers.
Barry loved family, kids, fishing, hunting, motor cycling, and firearms. He also loved gardening, cooking, boating and was an excellent mechanic, and artist. Barry was well informed on world news and history.
He held a special love for his dog Cisco and his 1952 Chevy pickup he worked on for many years as a hobby.
He is survived by this mother, Jennifer Wolverton, of Meridian, his daughters, Rochelle Cunningham of Boise, Rachel Fenton, of Boise, Roselle Duncan (Michael) of Boise. His 2 grandchildren Tanner Fenton and Racquelle Ford and 3 great grandchildren Aspen Fenton, Dalley Rose and Waylon Ford. His surviving sisters are Denise Spiroff (Mark), Julie Mays (Keven), Shawna Steinwinter (Bruce) and Kayla Moore (Leo). He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Wolverton.
A committal service will be held 2:00 pm, Friday, March 31, 2023 at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, 10100 Horseshoe Bend Rd., Boise, Idaho.
