Audrey Laurene Hawker
Audrey Laurene Hawker, 85, a resident of Mesa, Arizona, passed away July 5, 2022, in Caldwell, Idaho.
Audrey was born on November 1, 1936 in Emmett, Idaho. Her parents were Everett Winfield Libby and Vera Lucille (Larson) Libby. She was the third child with an older brother, Everett Winfield Libby Jr., and an older sister, Ellen Isabella (Libby) Stout LeFevre.
Audrey was raised, in her younger years, in Emmett, Idaho. She moved to Murray, Utah, and later returned to Emmett, Idaho, for her high school years. She spent time with many good friends, going to church dances, and singing. She sang many solos in church services. She graduated from Emmett High School in 1954. She married Dallas Hawker in 1954 and settled in New Plymouth, Idaho. They had seven children, Randy, Rick, Rod, Vickie, Rodger, Christine, and Angela. While no longer married, they remained family.
In 1979, Audrey moved to Mesa, Arizona, and purchased a home. She worked as a bookkeeper/accounts payable for Roy Edwards Warehouse and then for many years at R&K Building Supplies. She took great pride in her home and employment. Everyone knew Audrey to be very dependable, hardworking, and honest. She loved to travel with her children and has explored many places throughout the U.S. She retired at age 72.
In 2020, she went to stay with her children in Middleton, Idaho. She was extremely active in all family activities and was always willing to join in the fun even up to her final days. Audrey was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was proud of her posterity, loved the Lord with all her heart, and did her very best to serve with all her might, mind, and strength.
Audrey is survived by her seven children: Randy (Jinx) Hawker of Medford Oregon; Rick (Julie) Hawker of Lehi, Utah; Rod (Marita) Hawker of Star, Idaho; Vickie (Dave) Marston of Middleton, Idaho; Rodger (Mary) Hawker of Middleton, Idaho; Christine (Darin) Taylor of Middleton, Idaho; Angela (Rich) Harris of Snowflake, Arizona. Twenty-one grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren.
Audrey is preceded in death by: Everett Winfield Libby (father); Vera Lucille (Larson) Libby (mother); Everett Winfield Libby Jr. (brother); and Ellen Isabella (Libby) Stout LeFevre (sister).
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, on Friday, July 15, 2022, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1332 Cornell St. in Middleton, with a visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Park View Cemetery in New Plymouth at 2:30 pm.
