Ashli Terrell
With profound sadness we announce the passing of Ashli Terrell, our loving and devoted wife, mother and friend to all whose lives she touched, on August 1st, 2020
She left us peacefully surrounded by her family at her residence in Meridian, ID. She was 49 years old.
Born in July of 1971 to Merlin and Marlene Hansen in Eagle Idaho. She grew up in a wonderful family with two older siblings Brian (Lori) and Meredith (Michael) and two younger brothers Jonathan (Rachel) and Jordan (Kirsten). All have married and still live here in the valley close to Mom and Dad Hansen, with numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Ashli met her loving husband and eternal companion Philip Terrell in April of 1988, while roller skating in her junior year of high school. A week later they attended her Junior Prom and have been at each other’s side ever since. They were married and sealed together forever, four years later in the Boise Idaho Temple in 1992.
She was the beloved mother of Joshua (Shelby), Jacob, Nicali (Bailey), Hannah. She cherished her children spending time with them and taking trips and making good memories.
Ashli lived a full life as a wonderful mother, homemaker and dedicated servant of her Savior.
She loved to bake bread, if you were fortunate enough to have some of her homemade bread nothing else was ever as good. She kept a warm welcoming home where you could come and feel loved. She loved to play games and always had a deck of pinochle cards close at hand. But she was willing to play any game that kept you engaged and at her table.
Ashli loved to travel and go on adventures. She was an avid skier both water and downhill, the outdoors put a smile on her face and was where she wanted to be.
Most of all she loved her family and instilled in them her strong values of service and dedication to the Savior. She exemplified charity, the pure love of Christ. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
A private family memorial of Ashli’s life will be held at her parents’ home in Eagle on Saturday, August 8, 2020 beginning at 11 a.m. Due to the Corona Virus restrictions we are currently under the family is working on setting up a Zoom meeting to broadcast the service to family & friends that would like to participate remotely. Link to be posted on the Bowman Funeral home site listed below when finalized.
Ashli rarely wanted gifts, she preferred to use funds to do something and go somewhere to make good memories together, she always said activities create forever memories. A cash gift to Ashli’s children to go make good lasting memories outdoors would be appreciated in lieu of flowers and can be sent via Venmo @ http://Venmo.com/code?user_id=2556251623915520501 or Cash App @ http://cash.app/$AshliTerrell . These funds will be used solely for joint family activities (Brundage, Oregon Coast, Boating ect.)
Ashli’s private interment will occur on Friday August 7, 2020 at the Dry Creek Cemetery in Boise.
Below is the Zoom invite for Ashli’s funeral for August 8th 2020 @ 11am mountain time. There are two links available. If the links are full we will be recording the funeral to be viewed later. August 5, 2020 at 8:17 pmWe love you all so much and I’m heartbroken at Ashli’s passing. We’ve spoken often about her cancer and the process she was going through. She was always so upbeat and positive as she was so many times with so many other things. She tried to comfort me from losing Skip to cancer while she was experiencing it herself. But that’s Ashli. Always giving, loving and beautiful inside and out. Your love and positivity will be so missed. We love you all! ❤️

August 9, 2020 at 11:59 pmI haven’t seen Ashli since our first year of college, but I easily picture that smile. As you know, Ashli exuded true kindness. I have no doubt she shared kindness, joy, compassion, and support to countless people during her time on earth. Heaven just got a little better.
