It’s so hard to say “good-bye” to someone so special in your life, but, sadly, we must all face it at one time or another. I met Annie, that’s what I called her, late in 1968. I remember spending New Year’s Eve 1968/69 with her. We were very close as the years passed and children came along. She is my daughter’s God Mother and I am Tim’s God Mother. She always had a smile and was always a joy to be around. I have many “Annie stories”, as I call them, but one stands out more than the rest…She was living in Petaluma and was standing in line in the bank, one of those single lines that wind round until it is your turn. She noticed that people around her were sneaking a peek in her direction and snickering….well, when she glanced down at herself, her slacks had fallen down….only Annie. I will miss you and your laughter always….give my love to “Toots” for me, until we meet again….

Ann and I met in the 5th grade at St Gabriel’s school in San Francisco. We have been friends ever since. I am so sad about her passing and can’t believe it at times. She loved her family and was so proud of them. I just talked to her a few weeks ago. I feel a deep loss. See you on the other side Ann. I known you will be there to greet me. Love Jorja aka George.
