Maxine enjoyed gardening, yard sales, dancing, reading, and spending time with her friends and family. She had an extraordinary love for animals. Her deviled eggs and potato salad were legendary among friends and family. In later years, she enjoyed the Star Senior Center and their many outings.
She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn (John) Nelson; granddaughter Melissa (Allan) Lang and great grandson Ross Lang; granddaughter Amanda (Roy) Segars-Huffstetler and great grandsons, David, Ben, and Jake; son-in-law John Bores; brother Charles Beyers; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Allen R. Drake, son Ross W. Drake, daughter Michele A. Bores, brother Noel Baker, and sister Laurel “Lollie” Belden.
The family suggests that memorials may be made to Idaho Talking Book Service (Idaho Commission for Libraries) or the Idaho Humane Society. Her daughter Marilyn would like to give special thanks to Catherine’s Dr. Marci Price-Miller for her excellent care and compassion.

October 4, 2022 at 3:50 pmI remember Maxine fondly, she was an awesome lady. We often visited when I was a child and I enjoyed talking with her in later years when I shopped for plants at Grider’s Greenhouses. I am so sorry for your loss.
