Maryann Katherine Stahl February 10, 1957 - November 16, 2021

Maryann Katherine Stahl, a retired IRS employee and resident of La Grande, OR died surrounded by family on Tuesday November 16th, 2021 at the age of 64.

Maryann is survived by her three children: Amy Gordin, Greg Minor and Ryan Minor; her grandchildren, Ian Burton, Opal Gordin, and Riley Minor, and her siblings Fred Stahl, Jude Holmes, Peggy Dixon, Michael Dixon, Judy Mattson, and John Dixon. Maryann is preceded by her parents, Cora Wilkie and Jude Stahl, her brother Mike Stahl  and her grandson Cameron Burton.

Maryann was born on February 10, 1957 in San Bruno, CA. She was an active member of the Church of the Nazarene in both Newberg and La Grande, OR. During retirement Maryann enjoyed part time work as a Stampin Up Demonstrator. She was also actively involved in Celebrate Recovery and a member of the Happy Hookers crochet group.

Maryann was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends especially during knit night, trips to card making and crafting events, the beach and the zoo. She has friends and family across the states who miss playing Pokemon Go with her.

A Celebration of Life for family and friends of Maryann will be officiated by Pastor Kevin Goss at the Church of the Nazarene, 109 18th Street, La Grande OR 97850 on Saturday December 11th, 2021 at 1:00pm PST.  MASKS REQUIRED. The celebration will be live streamed through social media for those who cannot make it in person.

Donations in Maryann’s honor can be made to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust’s Orphans’ Project which rescues and rehabilitates orphaned elephants. www.sheldrickwildlifetrust.org
