Viola Faith Martinez, age 84, beloved wife of Ascension “Marty” Martinez, much loved mother of Debra Martinez Semancik, Rhonda Martinez and Antonio Martinez, cherished mother in law, grandmother of six and great grandmother of eight, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday August 22, 2020. She was preceded in death by her beautiful daughter Anita.
Viola was born July 5, 1936 at Nampa Idaho to Daisy and William Mattox, she was one of seven sisters. She raised two daughters to adulthood, one daughter to ten years, and one son to adulthood.Viola and Marty lived in and raised their children in the same north end Boise home for 63 years.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic parish and was a very well liked and respected member of the Boise Elks club. She was a long time volunteer with the St. Mary’s food bank and Meals on Wheels.
Viola was an absolutely wonderful, loving person who had a good heart wrapped in warm feelings and she will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
