September 6, 1968 – August 6, 2019

A one of a kind beauty… blue eyes and blond hair…. Strong willed from the start.  Lori Ann Olsen Stewart was the first child to Brenda Kay Peterson and the only child to Clifford Francis Olsen.  Her mom would tell stories of Lori not wanting to be held or snuggled as a baby and as a child just wanted to be free to learn and do for herself. Strong willed may be putting it lightly if you ask her mother.

She was born and raised in Boise.  She attended various grade schools and junior high schools and then Borah High school before heading to college at Idaho State University to become a dental hygienist.  In 1996 she started her dental hygiene career at Meridian Dental where she worked for 23 years.  That same year she married Sheldon Stewart and her first child Jered Stern Stewart was born.  Her second child Julia Paige Stewart would follow in 1999.

Lori and Sheldon raised their two children in Boise and in 2015 welcomed their first grandson Cypher Jax Stewart into the family.  In 2018 they welcomed their second grandson Kēlo Theodore Hicks.

This adventurous, strong willed child would blossom into a beautiful, fearless, free spirited woman that we all came to love.  Lori had many things she enjoyed doing from listening to good music, hiking, boating, dancing, running, hunting and much more.  She fiercely loved and took care of her family and was a pillar to her extended family.  She absolutely adored her newest role as La-La to her grandsons.

She leaves behind a legacy of family, friends, love, courage, devotion and an urgency to live life to the fullest.

A celebration of her life will be held Friday, September 6th 2019 at 6:30pm.
