William D. Wolfe, 74, a resident of Boise, passed away surrounded by love of his family on June 13, 2026, in Boise.
Bill was born in Weiser, Idaho to Earl L. and Johanna G. Willms Wolfe.
Bill proudly served in the United States Air Force for 20 years, retiring as a Master Sergeant. His dedication, discipline, and the love for his country remained with him throughout his life.
Outside of his military service, Bill had a lifelong passion for cars and his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He enjoyed talking about engines, taking drives, and sharing stories with friends and family. Those who knew him best also knew his quick wit and sense of humor. One of his favorite responses whenever someone asked how he was feeling was, “With my Fingers,” a phrase that always brought a smile to those around him.
More than anything, Bill loved his family. His son, Allen, was constant source of pride. He cherished his grandchildren, Tim and Talia, and his great-grandchildren, Oakland and Timber, who brought him endless joy. He loved talking about them and treasured every moment he spent with them.
Bill will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his faithful service to his country, his sense of humor, and the countless memories he leaves behind. His legacy will continue to live on through all who knew and loved him.
Bill is survived by his son, Allen Wolfe, of Salt Lake City, Utah; grandchildren, Tim Wolfe, and Talia Wolfe, of Salt Lake City, Utah; and great-grandchildren, Oakland Wolfe, and Timber Wolfe, of Salt Lake City, Utah.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Ron Ackerman, Tom Ackerman, and Dave Ackerman.
A committal service with military honors will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, 10100 N. Horseshoe Bend Rd. in Boise.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bowman Funeral Parlor of Garden City.
