William Bentley Galligan

William Bentley Galligan (Bill), 89, passed away January 13 at St. Luke’s Medicinal in Boise.

Bill was born in Redmond, Oregon, the eldest of four brothers.

Bill attended the University of Idaho where he met his wife and life partner, Sue McMahon. Bill and Sue were married on September 7, 1957.

After graduation, Bill and Sue lived in Seattle, and then in Hailey, Spring Creek, and Boise Idaho.

Bill worked for the Sun Valley Resort and the U.S. Forest Service.

Bill passionately loved being outdoors, in the wilderness, and surrounded by wildlife. In Boise he met many wonderful friends at Kathryn Albertson Park and on the Bethine Church Greenbelt Trail. He captured many beautiful wildlife pictures from his hikes and walks.

Bill is survived by several nephews and a niece.
